Menu

One of the best parts of camping is preparing and eating the food! We'll be bringing the lunch and dinner which you can see below as well as water to drink. Please bring whatever you want for breakfast and any special snacks or drinks! Some easy ideas for breakfast are fruit, bagels, muffins, cereal bars, coffee cake, donuts. If you're up for a bit more work, nothing starts the morning right like campfire eggs and bacon! Check out this hack for an easy way to bring scrambled eggs!

Lunches

Since we plan to be away from camp during lunch time, we'll be making sack lunches in the morning so that we can stop somewhere awesome and eat lunch! Snacks may change, but here is what we are planning:

  • Ham or Turkey & Cheese Sandwich
  • Kids: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich
  • Bag of Chips
  • Apples & Peanut Butter
  • Lunch #2: Carrots & Ranch
  • Rice Krispies Treat

Dinners

Food cooked over a campfire is one of the best parts of camping! Because of that, we have planned to take full advantage of the campfire. For kids 9 and under, we are planning on doing hotdogs each night with either an adult side or chips. This has been a crowd pleaser in the past! For the adults, we are planning:

  • Hotdogs & Chili
  • Chicken Sandwiches and Macaroni Salad
  • Hamburgers & Potato Salad

Activities

We have two main activities planned for this year: ATVs and Zion National Park. Our first full day, we are going to head to Zion National Park for a day of hiking and enjoying nature. On our second full day, we will be renting ATVs and exploring the trail systems near by.

Zion

Zion is about an hour away from the campsite so we will car pool into the park. From there, we will have some planned hikes that you can go on. If you are not up for a hike, there are several beautiful view points that you can take a shuttle to throughout the park! Check out the park's website for more information!

ATVs

We have reserved a 6-seat ATVs for the entire day! We will be picking up the ATVs in the morning and will be doing several excursions from the camp through out the day!

Other Activities

There are several other activities that you can enjoy that are close to the campsite. Read below for several ideas as well as useful information.

Fishing
  • This area offers great fishing for rainbow, brook and brown trout
  • Duck Lake and Duck Creek are minutes from camp
  • Aspen Mirror Lake is only 2 miles from camp
  • Much larger Navajo Lake is only 4.2 miles from camp
  • You can purchase your Utah fishing license here.
Hiking
  • There are several trails close the campsite!
  • The 32 mile Virgin River Rim Trail is just minutes from camp.
  • Cascade Falls trailhead is located just a few miles away!
  • We are also close to some cool natural attractions like Ice Cave which is a small cave found just past the Navajo Lake turnoff that has icicles year-round!
