What is VBS?

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a week filled with fun, Christ-centered lessons and activities for the children in our community! It is a wonderful time for kids to not only get out of the house during the summer, but to learn more about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This year, our VBS “Kingdom Seekers” is focused on Matthew 6:33, which says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and He will give you everything you need.” Through crafts, games, and Bible study, the kids will learn the importance of reading God’s Word and hiding it in their hearts.

VBS itself will run from July 11th-15th at the church, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

VBS is open for children kindergarten through fifth grade (or ages 4-11). Attendance is free.

WHAT is needed?

Pray for the lessons we teach, for the volunteers, and — most importantly — for the kids and the families they go home to, especially if they are unchurched.
We will need group leaders, storytellers, and craft supervisors, as well as behind-the-scenes support, like with decorating and snack-making. Sign up to help at the Information Station at church.
We’re decorating the church to be like a forest, so we’re also looking to borrow fake Christmas trees (plain green; no snow or ornaments).
We are also accepting empty cardboard boxes, especially from packs of canned soft drinks.
Check out our Amazon Wishlist if you’d like to help make VBS possible:
