Freedom Life is a lot about seasons. New ones beginning, old ones coming to an end. It’s been a mixture of different types for me personally, as well as for my family. Even though there are definitely hard seasons, there is also so much good and so much God at work. Truly amazing to see Him so involved in our lives demonstrating over and over His infinite and boundless love for us. Through some of this, and most recently, I've really experienced freedom. Several variations of it. Freedom from some yokes I have put on myself. Freedom from a busy season, freedom from a sin issue I was struggling with, freedom in just realizing who I am, even more, in Christ. Oh, how He loves us! How much He has for us, if we just follow Him! Never before has the following verses resonated so much in me! John 8:31-36, “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Sin is bondage, separating us from God and who He has created us to be. But we also put expectations on ourselves, as well as others, that God either may have not called us to or that have ended. That can also be a bondage. Also, there are times when it's just a season we are called to- and when it closes, we get freedom in realizing the completion! Wherever you are, one thing is true - SEEK HIM. He has SO much planned for your life and so much love and freedom for you! Psalm 119:45, “I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
