The Battle Is Won 1 John 5:4-5 "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" "Wow!” seems to be all I can say when looking back on all of the attacks from the enemy this week. The devil is simply relentless in his pursuit to bring down and destroy those that are representatives of Jesus Christ. I was beginning to think that I was the only one, even though I know that that is not reality. A co-worker in my office continues to take shots at me and verbally attack me for a reason that is unknown to me. On top of the attacks from the guy that should be my team-mate, it has been a rough week as far as my work projects are concerned as well. I was starting to get a little down and allow the manipulations of Satan to creep into my mind. In my heart, I know and there is no doubt that Jesus is there for me but sometimes even while knowing that I still continue to struggle and attempt to endure the attacks in my own power. Foolish is the only word that comes to mind when contemplate that, because I know we are nothing without Christ and there is no victory without Him. To take it a step further, not only are we going to obtain victory through Him, but we are already victorious! What a breath of fresh air that can be to realize that Jesus Christ has broken down every wall and conquered every army that could ever rise against us when He died for our sins and conquered death. The day that we embraced Jesus as our Savior and started our relationship with the Lord, victory became the name of the game even though it might not seem that way sometimes. In those times we need to drop to our knees and look to Jehovah Nissi (the Lord our banner/conqueror). He will be there to lift our head and shine His glorious light of victory on our lives!
